We would like to provide an update to all Links residents on a change in policy regarding snow removal.  First of all, thank you very much to all who have volunteered as snow monitors in the past.  The snow monitor committee was put in place years ago as a means to notify our snow removal contractor when services were needed, and also when services were not needed.  Part of the intent was to enforce the terms of our snow removal contract, to ensure there were no unnecessary visits, and to ensure that our snow removal costs were kept in check.

A recent review of this process by the association board has resulted in a change in policy.  Moving forward, with oversight from ACRI the snow removal contractor as bound by the terms of the snow/ice removal contract will decide when snow or ice removal services are needed.  We are hopeful this change in policy will result in more timely snow & ice removal from the driveways and sidewalks in our community.  We feel that ACRI in combination with input from our residents can provide adequate oversight of the snow removal contractor to ensure they are not making unnecessary visits.

Throughout the winter, if you have a question regarding snow or ice removal, please contact ACRI.  If you feel a recent visit to remove snow and/or apply de-icing material was not necessary, please notify ACRI and the issue will be investigated.  Please do not confront or interfere with the snow removal contractor.  Contact ACRI if you have any questions or concerns.

Have a safe rest of the winter!  Punxsutawney Phil says more winter to come.
