How we produce the Impressionist Giclee Portrait:
Step 1) We first scan your provided photograph, using high quality scanners, into our systems for quality review. If a digital file was sent we load that file. Assessments are made of the electronic image to determine if corrections must be made.
Step 2) Quality photo corrections are made to the digital image. Color is adjusted, minor scratches or defects are corrected. Background clutter is cleaned up. Color noise on digital files is removed. “Cat or Dog eye” is corrected. Contrast as well as white balance and “Fur tone” are corrected. The image is artistically cropped to fit the proportions of the final print. The image is then resized for the painting phase.
Step 3) We use actual brush strokes individually applied through a sophisticated touch screen monitor. The artist uses his own individual technique inspired by the image you provide. No two are alike.
Step 4) We print and review proofs as a quality control measure. The final image is then printed on quality canvas using archival inks. The Giclee print produced is rated to remain color fast for 200 years by manufacture of the printer, ink and canvas system we use. All products we use in this Giclee printing process were manufactured to work together. No corners are cut using “off brand” inks or canvas.
Step 5) The framed portrait is shipped in appropriate packaging through USPS. When it arrives it is ready for your wall.
Its as simple and personal as that. Call us and we’ll work it out.
Payment is expected prior to delivery. On custom jobs there may be a design charge required up front. We will let you know. Do not send framed work, irreplaceable media or documents. |
