Traditional Prints
Many of our canvases are created from traditional photographic prints that our customers send to us.  We work with sizes up to 8.5”x11”.  We will work with larger prints on site.  Do not send framed work.

Digital Photography
The resolution from most newer digital cameras works perfectly for our canvas product. If your camera is 3 mega pixel or higher and you've taken the photo at the highest quality setting you won't have a problem.  If you're not sure about any of that, you can check the file size by right clicking on your image, then, click on properties, where the size will be displayed.  Images that are 2 meg or higher are great.  Images under 2 meg but higher than 0.7 meg are usually workable, so go ahead and e-mail those. JPEG or TIF files are both OK.  We'll always call you if there is an issue.

Scanning Tips
You can use a quality flat bed scanner to scan your image at minimum 300 dpi resolution. Save the file in RGB mode using JPEG format with the highest quality setting and lowest compression.

If you have an old photo and don't have a scanner, you can have your photo scanned into a 300 dpi JPEG digital file on a CD at selected Kinko's stores, which you can then e-mail to us from your PC.

Starting with professional photographs

We require our customers to confirm that they have all permissions to reprint any and all images they provide.

Can you work with a negative or a slide?
We can work with slides or negatives.  They may be 35mm slides or negatives, or 120/220 medium or large format roll film.

What about lost or damaged photographs?

A question that frequently arises is “Will I get it back? “  We are obsessive about taking care of our customer’s property.  That being said, we strongly recommend NEVER sending us an irreplaceable photograph.  Packages can and do get lost in transit and we would hate for you to lose a one of a kind image. If you have a treasured photo and no negative or copy we suggest that you have a high quality duplicate made before sending it to us.  We can not be responsible for old and brittle negatives, slides or photographs.  Please use a service that specializes in preservation of originals before sending us copies.
